The cottage interior

The cottage is fully equipped. There are three bedrooms, a double bedroom on the ground floor and two single bedrooms on the first floor. On the ground floor there is a kitchen, a living/dining room and the bathroom with shower and wc. Among other things you find: washing machine, dryer, electric oven, gas hob, toaster, coffeemachine, electric kettle, ironing board, iron, sufficient cooking utensils, glassware, cutlery, crockery, fridge, freezer, central heating, solid fuel stove, stereo system and radio, coal and gas grill, towels, linen and a lot more. Obviously running warm and cold water and power.

Shopping

Directly in Finny there is a small shop with a post office and a small petrol station. You can reach it within 5 minutes. To go on a bigger shopping spree drive to Cong or Clonbur
(ca. 15 - 20 min.).

Beach

At the end of Lough Nafooey is a sandy beach (breathtaking views in a peaceful setting).
In Glassilaun there is a beautiful sandy beach. Drive to Leenane, through the village along the sea, up the mountain. On top is a sign post to the rigtht. Follow it and you will come pass two lakes.

Surrounding

The location is fantastic, between two wonderful lakes and in the middle of a breathtaking mountainous country side. If you want to discover the North, Northwest or Southwest of Ireland, this is your ideal starting point.

Pubs & Restaurants

You will find very nice and typical pubs in the near: The Happy Kettle Tea Shop in Finny is next door to the post office. If after a hard day trekking in the mountains or cycling around the lakes, you need to relax with a nice cup of tea or coffee, then visit the happy kettle tea shop. Enjoy world famous turf cakes home baked by staff.
