A Short History

Patrick Duffy, known as Pat Mor, was born in Finny in 1875, and being a stone mason by trade, built this cottage in the late 1800´s. He lived here with his wife Catherene nee Joyce from Glenbeg, and they reared 8 sons in this cottage. The family names were Jimmy, Martin, Patrick, Fr.Willie, Fr.Peter, Michel, Tommy and Marcus. As well as earning a living as a stone mason, he was also a farmer. His stonework can be seen all around the farm.

Pat Mors Cottage was renovated in 1997 - 2000 and is a lovely holiday cottage today.See the pictures from the repair work here.

The Interior

The cottage is fully equiped. There are three bedrooms, a double bedroom on the ground floor and two single bedrooms on the first floor. On the ground floor there is a kitchen, a living/dining room and the bathroom with shower and wc. So you don`t have to think about, just enjoy your stay and relax.
